      Maggie 2 is a brindle Cairn Terrier.

Sibirskiy Siberian Cattery is dedicated to breeding Siberian Kittens to the Siberian Standard. Sibirskiy is located in Louisiana, in the USA. The cattery is my home and my Siberian Cats and Siberian Kittens are raised as beloved family members. Each kitten is given the time and love needed to develope their purrsonality and confidence before adoption.  My Siberians sleep in my bed and they are loved by me.

I make very little money breeding and selling kittens. It is more a labor of love and it is my way to keep alive the look of those original Siberian cats brought from Russia by Elizabeth Terrell.

I try to go to as many shows as I can as a way of keeping in touch with other breeders and getting feed back on my lines.

 It makes me happy when I can find a perfect match for a kitten and a family. I always want to be sure that a cat gets more at their new home than they could get from my home (I love each one).

I do ship but I worry every minute.  I think how grateful I am to those first Russian breeders that sent the first three Siberians to Elizabeth Terrel right here in Louisiana. I would rather meet the new family personally but I do think you can know someone from emails and calls, but that personal meeting gives something extra.

As I stated I show my cats. I just feel that a good Siberian should be shown as an ideal representative of the Siberian breed. I think that showing is a good way for new owners to meet other cat lovers and learn about the Siberian breed. I think that showing a cat is beneficial in socializing cats to different experiences and environments. My cats that have been shown are much more social and adaptable than those that have not been shown.

Again, my goal in breeding Siberians is not to support myself selling cats but to perserve the look of the Siberian breed and make others happy.
Every kitten is  unique. The kittens deserve your love and commitment whether you choose to show them are not.

Shipping from Louisiana in summer months is variable because of our warm climate and  airline temperature restrictions .

Why a Siberian Cat from Sibirskiy? 

Love-my Siberian Cats are members of my family. The cat really does come first to me. I have dedicated many years toward continuing the Siberian breed.  My kittens come from championship lines and they are selectively breed for consistant type, temperament and health.

I have benn involved in showing Siberian Cats since 1997 and I have bred Siberian Cats since 1999. I continue to learn and love the Siberian breed more each and every day.

My kittens and cats receive routine vet care and follow the recommendations of the AVMA on vaccinations.

Our Siberians are feed a raw meat diet withRoyal Canin kibbles  fed free choice.  I also feed a raw diet to times a day. 

Are they registered?

Yes, all Sibirskiy kittens and cats are registered with TICA. TICA is the largest registry of Siberians. Many Sibirskiy Siberians are also registered with CFA. 

How can I purchase a Sibirskiy kitten if I do not live near Louisiana?

Sibirskiy Siberians are shipped on an airline and are flown to your closest airport. The average cost is $350. This includes airline charges, Rabies shot, health certificate, vet examination and the cost of the cat carrier.

Home visits?

I would rather not.  I do receive requests but for safety's sake I would rather make other arrangements. I am not a good allergy test site. I have a Maine Coon, a Turkish Van, a Snowshoe and one domestic shorthair. If you are interested in meeting the cats, or wish to test your allergy level, we can meet you at a public location. I am hesitate to allow people in my home due to germ contamination and SAFETY reasons. However, I am willing to bring my cats to you at neutral site or another safe place. If you still need to see the cats in their home environment, I charge a non-refundable fee $10.00 to visit in my home.

A breeder is not hiding anything because they may not invite you to their home.  There are many reasons a stranger may not be invited into a breeder's home. For one, this is my home and you are a stranger. We probably "met" through email.  Germs and diseases can be brought into the home from your shoes self without knowledge. 

Home visits can be arranged only once you have registered for my wait list and paid a $10 fee. For this fee I take your email and email you about availbility. A non-refundable $200 deposit toward a future kitten purchase is required as well. This requirement is designed to weed out non-serious cat buyers. If you merely want to see a couple of my cats but are not planning to buy a kitten, you are welcome to visit me at my next cat show. Just write me to find out where and when that will be.

So when you are considering visiting a home for allergy testing or because you are curious, please also consider how  breeders feel. If you need an allergy test, we can meet on neutral terms after a $10.00 fee is paid. I know that this seems like a lot but these visits take up my time, usually a couple of hours.

The Truth about Hypo-allergenic....

Siberians have low proten levels that are the cause of about 40% of reactions in allergy suffers. Nothing is non-allergenic. Allergies are unpredictable. Low testing  protein levels is not a guarantee of no allergy reactions. I have had good success with people that have cat allergies. However, I love my cats and I have concerns about my Siberians should an allergic reaction 

develop. A cat is a life long commitment.

Cats can live well into their teens and they deserve a stable, loving home.
